A tough post to announce the passing of John Vargo - Commodore, Long time club member, sportsman, Publisher, Fisherman, Good friend, Ice Boating raconteur. A real gentleman who will be missed greatly. Our sympathies to John Michael, Chris, Jimmy & Joanna. More to come...

John Raced bow steerers as well!
John's love of the Hudson River was seen through his publishing of Boating on the Hudson. He knew boaters, fishing folk, and sportsman of the Hudson from the Erie Canal down to Manhattan. He was sure to get an article and photo spread of the ice boats when we had a good winter.
